Information
Ancient Thai Technology Museum serves a purpose to preserve local culture and arts. It is located in an area of Suranaree University of Technology. In this museum pieces of ancient tools and machines are displayed such as airplane wing with aerodynamic description, rocket science, mechanism of rocking and rotation, ancient rice mill, herringbone gears, sugar cane mill, combustion tube, memory-aid tools, craftsman and metalworking tools. The display covers two levels. On level 1 visitors will find weaving equipment, animal traps, fishing gears, water bucket, sticky rice wooden tray, wooden coconut grater etc. Some rare small instruments are shown in glass cabinets such as time-worn small wood polishers, gravers, and drills. Level 2 demonstrates assembly of traditional rice milling machine.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 2. Pass Saraburi to Nakhon Ratchasima. From the city center, Drive to west to route number 224. Then go straight to Ratchadamnoen Road until reaching Nakhon Ratchasima Intersection. Drive along Mitraphap Road. Then turn left and take the second lane to Mittraphap Road. Then drive along Ratchasima - Pak Thong Chai Road / Seubsiri Road. Then turn right to the University Avenue. Take exit number 2 at roundabout. The destination is on the left.
