Important / Interesting artifacts
The museum portrays the existence of various species of ants from across the globe with exact samples. For example, the Myrmecia has long molars and multiple teeth for which can put human to death, but fortunately they are only found in Australia. The Paraponera clavata, South America’s largest ant species, is the most poisonous with a potent sting within its abdomen. Another amazing ant species is honeypot ants, or fridge ants, which is known for their swollen abdomen gorged with nectar. Serving as larder, they will remain still in place for fellow ants to consume stored liquid for living, as well as for nurturing pupae in time of food scarcity. During dry season, they are consumed by indigenous people.
