Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Science Center for Education was established by the cabinet resolution dated 8 November 1995 with the objective to provide opportunities for Thai people to access the source of learning in the field of science in a wider scale according to their interest and capability.

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Science Center for Education and its networks have played an important role in serving the study of science in a variety of ways, ranging from science, technology, astronomy, space to natural sciences. Officially launched on 21 May 1999, the centre has served the study of science to students from both formal and informal education, teachers, instructors and general public. Moreover, there are arrangements of activities to serve non-formal and informal education using various approaches. The centre comprises of 4 zones, which are exhibition, science camp, educational activity and academic services.
