Information
With the concordant agreed by government sectors, particularly Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, People’s Network, Thai Artists’ Network, Art and cultural organizations, which demand for a place as the Art and cultural center, for gathering and being a learning center of all Art and culture branches, similar to the Art gallery that aimed to fulfill the aesthetic of Bangkok city. Therefore, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration had constructed the 9-storey building (exclude basement floor) to be the Art and Culture Centre of Bangkok with a unique architectural style, equipped with international standard apparatus and utilities, in order to manage art and culture work efficiently. The display booths are focus on the rotated exhibition of different art and culture branches, cooperate with international art organizations. Moreover, there are variety of art activities such as music, poem, drama, movie, discussion, and literature. The goal is to broaden the new vision of Learning, leads to developed mental health, intellectual growth and development potential to learn in other areas.

The Art Centre #BACC is known for hosting numerous exhibitions all at the same time on its premises all year round. Now on its twelfth year of operation, it is time to look back to its development since the beginning, when a group of artists mulled its existence in the nineties.
After 12 years it is a good time to appraise the Centre’s work and its impact on the cultural life of the city: which groups of people have benefited from its existence, and why some people refer to it as the people’s the Art Centre.

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre proudly presents “Cinema Diverse 2017: The Invisible Hands“
For the fifth Cinema Diverse, four international films, selected by four behind-the-scenes people in the film industry, will be shown bi-monthly from May – November 2017.After each screening there will be a post-screening talk and a Q&A session to discuss ideas and thoughts about the film.
