Information
Ban Yang Hydroelectric Power Plant Museum was established on December 5, 2012 to preserve the royal project which becomes Thailand's first small hydroelectric power plant as a source of learning about electricity generation processes and its benefits. The exhibition includes the background of the construction of Ban Yang Hydroelectric Power Plant and benefits from this power plant. The museum building is built over the power plant. Walking inside, visitor will find the exhibition area and to the right most of the exhibition area is the power plant which is still in operation.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 (Phaholyothin Road) and turn left onto Highway number 32 (Asia Road) through Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ang Thong and Nakhon Sawan. Then take Highway number 117 heads to Phitsanulok and Highway number 11 heads to Lampang, Lamphun and Chiang Mai. From city center, heads toward route number 121, use the left channel into the route number 11. Take the ramp to Chiang Mai, turn left to Chiang Mai 700-year road, turn right at the junction of the Ruamjai government center. Take the road to Chotana Road. Drive straight about 42 m to Mae Ngon, the destination is on the left.
