Chawak Lake is a large natural lake covering an area of 2,700 rai, approximately 64 kilometers from Suphan Buri city, adjacent to Han-kha district of Chai Nat province and Doem Bang Nang Buat district of Suphan Buri province. With its diversity of plants and animals, the lake has been declared a non-hunting area since 1983 before being assigned to be national wetlands in, 1998 under the Ramsar Convention Thailand took part in. The lake is a natural freshwater lake with average depth between 1 - 3 meters. Attractions within Chawak Lake are divided into two zones:

1. Zoo zone which consists of a tourist center building. Exhibitions inside focus on providing knowledge about raising various kinds of wildlife, bird watching, and geographic and history of the lake. The zone contains ecological model displays and also, outside of the building, a 25 meters tall bird cage with an area of about 5 rai. Inside the cage simulates natural conditions, housing more than 45 species of bird.
2. Aquatic zone is an aquarium displaying freshwater fish, beautiful fish, and rare fish. It is divided into 2 buildings. The first building displays more than 50 species of both freshwater and saltwater animals, both of domestic and foreign species. The second building houses a gigantic fish tank with over 400 cubic meters volume, containing an 8.5-meter long tunnel where visitors can walk through, giving an intimate impression with all the fish. This tunnel is the first freshwater fish tunnel in Thailand.
