Ministry of Fisheries established the Chaloem Phrakiat Aquarium located at Bung See Fai, to be a memorial for his Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and to be a recreation place for general public. Aim to give knowledge and motivate people to love and recognize as the joint owner of public property, to share the responsibility of fishes and aquatic animals, which is the national heritage to be continuing for the next generation.

Chaloem Phrakiat Aquarium is under responsibility of Pichit Inland Fisheries Station, consists of;

1. Chaloem Phrakiat Aquarium built with the 9 sided star-shaped building projecting over the Si Fai Lake. Inside the building, consists of 20 aquariums embedded in the wall for rare species fish. Outside the building is covered with golden ceramics for all 9 sides, corridor outside is decorated with terracotta tiles painted with 9 of Thai literature and traditional pictures. The middle part of the building features a channel for seeing school of fish, which display on a rotational basis and visitors can also enjoy feeding fish there.

2. A 60 metre-linking bridge, made with aluminum pipe – rail bridge, equipped with automatic light systems.
