Chiang Mai Zoo & Aquarium is the first fully integrated marine breeding center in Southeast Asia . The largest and longest underwater tunnel in the world. It is gathered  the freshwater include fish of the Mekong River and the underwater world together.

Inside the aquarium is 13,985 square meters, with the largest underwater tunnel in the world Freshwater and saltwater tunnels are connected by an automatic sliding pathway with a total length of 133 meters, divided into 66.5 meters of saltwater tunnels and 66.5 meters of fresh water tunnel. The tunnel is 2.5 inches think clear acrylic. It is able to protect water pressure at a depth of 5 meters.

There are fish freshwater and saltwater from the 2 major rainforests of the world, both Asia and the Amazon.
