Information
In 1923, The Rockefeller Foundation had begun to assign instructors to teach at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. Professor Stump, the first visiting professor, had commenced the new curriculum and planned the construction of Anatomy Building. Nevertheless, the professor relocated to Australia before the completion of the building, having Professor Edgar Davidson Congdon as the replacement.
As Professor Congdon started his work, the options of instruction medium were limited. The professor had fulfilled necessary requirements for learning and instruction and established the museum in 1927.
The museum displays organs of the donors who donated their body for the dissection of medical students for their Gross Anatomy subject. Preserved fetuses used in Embryo subject were exhibited alongside birth defect samples.
The museum consists of 2 zones, including general anatomy and skeletal room.
