Garuda Museum, under Thanachart Bank, is the one and only garuda museum in Thailand. Established with the thoughts of Thanachart Bank’s executive to pass on the respect and knowledge, the latter of which is essential as the garuda symbolises the monarch, the museum reflects the recognition of relations between belief and faith of Thai people towards the garuda. Garuda Museum is the learning source of garuda in all aspects for general public, basing on the belief in the creation of universe according to Brahmanism-Hinduism and Buddhism. Visitors will learn about the profound connection between garuda and Thailand’s administrative institutions, as well as belief about the garuda that has survived in Thai society until today.
The museum consists of 5 rooms, which are reception hall, garuda paradise (Himmapan Forest), the Naga city, the immortal aerial conqueror and the garuda emblem room.
Once entered into the reception hall, visitors will notice the garuda emblem that stands tall in the middle of the hall. On the right side is the poem that mentions about garuda in terms of Buddhism. Composed by National Artist Naowarat Pongpaiboon, the poem describes the relationship between the god-liked garuda and Vishnu or Narayana God, based on the ideology of universe.
The circle reception hall displays images of several branches of Siam City Bank. Visitors will learn stories and the importance of garuda through a video presentation on the right hand side, which was created by Paothong Thongchua, the instructor and specialist on Thai art and culture, who was also the consultant in the establishment of Garuda Museum. There is also an explanation of experience in the making of garuda by Sanya Wong-aram, distinguished scholar at the Division of Art Education, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University.
The garuda paradise is the creation of exhibition in the form of Himmapan Forest according to the belief that it is the dwelling of garuda as spiritually Himmapan Forest is the land that exists under the ideology of universe of Brahmanism-Hinduism and Buddhism. The room will make visitors feel as if they are wandering in the Himmapan Land. There are simulations of imaginary animals that are positioned according to the tale of Himmapan Forest, including Makkali tree, as well as Anodad Pool, which is in the middle of the hall. Visitors will be led to the next exhibition room through the Five Great Rivers.

The oldest engraved garuda from Siam City Bank, Ratchadamnoen Road Branch, which was the first branch of the bank. The garuda is more than 70 years old.
