Hatyai Deepsky Observation for Science and Astronomy is regarded as a perfect learning source for science and astronomy. The Observatory was founded with the purpose of providing knowledge in astronomy and the solar system for students learning about astonomy and space and acting as a lifelong educational resource for people of all ages. The exhibition is divided into a number of sections: 1. the Astronomy Exhibition Room for the study of the solar system, universe and cosmology; 2. the Astronomy Theater screening a simulation of the Solar System and an astronomic documentary; 3. the Planetarium Dome featuring thirty 30mm-diameter Newtonion telescopes for learning, studying and recording planetary images and celestial phenomena at night and five120mm-diameter refracting telescopes for stargazing in the daytime; and 4. the Learning Room, a two-storey building with a retractable dome-shaped roof, providing eBook services for accessing interesting astronomical information. Outside the Observary is also located the souvenir shop.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take highway number 35 (Rama 2 Road or Thon Buri - Pak Tho Road) through Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram Province until Songkhla. From city center, drive through Hino Motors Sales and turn left onto highway number 414, drive along for 10.8 km, then drive along for 1 km and turn left onto Kanchanaburi Road. Drive 2.5 km and turn right. Take highway number 407 for 1 km. The destination is on the left.
