Wat Sa-At Local Heritage Preservation Hall is a local museum, which is small but full of hospitality. Although there are not many display items, but every piece is the pride of the group of people who are responsible for the museum. Most of antiques are donated from villagers. Wat Sa-At Local Heritage Preservation Hall is came from the idea of the former abbot, Luang Pu Champa . With the accumulation of the old antiques of Luang Pu Champa when traveling to preach. Once he found some old antiques which were throwed away or unwanted . He would ask for keeping at temple . Then Luang Pu Champa and villagers joined together to build this small wood local museum. After Luang Pu Champa passed away ,the new abbot ,Phra Suphan Punyawaro, are also interested in antiques and arts. Wat Sa-At Local Heritage Preservation Hall is became to formal local museum. The left of the room is antique large long drum that used in the village processions on various occasions. In addition, there are boxes and antique cabinets on the right side of the museum. The old sculptured wood pulpit that even decayed and damages by termites, is still very beautiful. Temple would like concerned agent to teaching about maintenance process . Next to the right corner is Loom, wickerwork, weaving tools and beautiful rice wicker boxes. Drinking glasses are made of bamboo, looking like spindled chopsticks, without any nails or strings to hold them together. In former times, they were used for offering water to monks or visiting guests. They are the local wisdom. The abbot guided to see the braided leather that for controlling the houses. In the past, no comfortable roads , horses were the vehicles . The museum is a single-storey cement building, like a small house. The display room is not very well organized. The display starts in the middle of the room where there are 3 glass showcases with some valuable items such as carved wooden Buddha, bronzeware, ancient jars, cow and buffalo bells. Very interesting are the Isan-design carved betel nut trays, containers of red lime to be chewed with betel nuts and areca. The ancient pottery jars were lay down beside of the cabinet. Villagers found them by the around the cannel. They thought that here was the ancient city. Some people said that they dreamed that someone from ancient city told them Some of the ancient jars have stories that death people came to tell them the position of ancient jars.
