Apart from museum, the Cultural Center also hosts a human puppet performing art called “Hun Khon”, which originated from the ancient royal puppets, marionette, puppet theater and puppetry shows from different regions of Thailand, i.e. shadow dance, pantomime, drama play and Thai cultural dance combined together and implemented to be stories with rhythmic movement of performers. Bringing some parts of Thai literatures along with Thai social and lifestyle create a story to be played by Hun Khon puppetry. The puppeteer presents the comparison story of human and puppet or puppet parody pattern. By use a skillful human puppet technique, associated with the dress of the body, matching with the story sequence and current generation, make Hun Khon an interesting contemporary performance.
