Art Museum Phichit was established in 2005 as a learning center about culture, customs, traditions, ways of life, art and culture, as well as accents of spoken languages, literature, myths and tales from one generation to another. All of these formed the unique identity of Phichit. The art museum reflects the way of life from the past to the present for future generations to not forget the roots and the identity of the people of Phichit. Inside are exhibitions on stories of Phichit. The art museum is divided into 10 rooms, as followed:
Room 1: Background Room exhibits archaeological and historical stories and the background of Phichit in various periods.
Room 2: City Room displays various aspects of Phichit in the present time.
Room 3: Music Room exhibits Thai musical instruments and is a cultural school room.
Room 4: Wisdom Room showcases the production process and various fishing instruments.
Room 5: Way of Life Room exhibits the way of life of people living near the river from the past to the present.
Room 6: Dharma Room features exhibitions about religion, beliefs, teachings about culture, tradition and important religious places in Phichit.
Room 7: Important Figures room features exhibitions on biographies of significant governmental figures, and political leaders in the past. There are also statues of “Tiger King” and Phraya Kotthabong
Room 8: Treasure of the Kingdom Room exhibits Phichit’s resources of the province such as gypsum source and gold ore source.
Room 9: Language and Literary Room exhibits dialects in Phichit, local literature, folk literature and legends in Phichit.
Room 10: Ethnic Room exhibits stories of 10 ethnic groups in Phichit.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 (Phaholyothin). Pass Ayutthaya, then take Highway number 117 to Phichit. From the city center, turn right to Highway number 1276. Go straight to Highway number 1068, drive for 4.2 km and turn right. Drive for 9.6 km and turn right. Go straight for 400 m and turn left. Drive for 130 m. The museum is located opposite Phichit Municipal Office.
