By the fact that we acknowledge the importance of pottery, as one well-known habitat of the Mon community, apart from which, there is also another village Nakhon Sawan whose quality of pottery is equally unmatched. Ban Mon pottery is a heritage which have been passed on for over 200 years. The village belongs to members of the Mon community, who have migrated from Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi, consisting of four families: Changpan, Liengsook, Reungboon and Kaewsutthima families. Later, Ban Mon Pottery Museum was established. The activities inside include demonstration of pottery making. Tourists can also try making one themselves with the help of experts. Moreover, there is a Mon restaurant which features authentic Mon food.

There are clay pots, harden clay pots, large earthen jars of various sizes and lotus ponds with different lotus designs such as lotus stem pattern, spiral pattern, high spiral pattern, dragon design, peony and lotus flower design etc. Other products are also available for purchase such as waterfall ponds, fountains, dolls and garden decorations.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 to Ayutthaya. Then take Highway number 32 and drive along until reaching Luang Pho O intersection. Then take Highway number 1 and drive along until reaching Sawan Park intersection. Then turn right to Highway number 117 and go straight for 2.5 km until reaching Navamin intersection. Then turn left to Highway number 1182 and drive along for 12.5 km. The destination is on the right.
