Information
Mrs. Amara Munikanon, a faithful believer of Wat Phra Kaew, wished to construct a building as an offering to the Lord Buddha. Consequently, an applied Lanna-style building was built. The temple later developed it into a museum for Thais and foreigners who are interested to visit. The temple also requested for the royal monogram of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to be imprinted at the front of the museum. Inside the museum are exhibitions on Somdej Phra Buddha Chinnawong Phra Buddhawongwiwat’s biography, the history and development of Wat Phrakaew, the Emerald Buddha, with both Thai and English descriptions, focusing on the information about Lanna local culture and religious philosophy.
