Information
A discovery of archaic elephants’ skeleton in Tambon Tha Chang led to inviting archeological collection and identification. With a cooperation of Tha Chang Municipality, a museum was founded in 1997 to displays the unearthed primeval elephant bones to public. The exhibition is divided into 2 sections. Section 1 presents elephant fossils, pieces of jawbone and teeth, and model of ancient elephants. Section 2 reveals the stories of the discovery. On the right wing of the museum there is a library organized by Office of NFE. In the center of this wing there are exhibitions of a small and big skeleton of ancient elephants.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 (Phahonyothin). Then drive to Highway number 2. Pass Saraburi to Nakhon Ratchasima. From the city center, then turn right to Rajdamnoen Road. Drive for 800 m, then turn left to Chai Narong Road. Go straight to Tha Chang District, then slight left to road number 224. Go straight for 700 m, then make a u-turn at the u-turn point. Then turn left, drive for 500 m. The destination is on the left.
