Information
Wat Sa Bua Kaeo Museum was founded by Phra Khru Wiboon Sarakan, Abbot of Wat Sa Bua Kaeo, through local offerings and donations with the objective of preserving local household articles that are no longer in use, donated by the locals. The museum houses a permanent exhibition about local way of living, culture, customs, and wisdom. Artifacts are exhibited in glass cabinets and shelves with no particular classification. Principal displays include:
1. Money, palm leaf manuscripts, gramophone and records, brass tray, and pottery cabinet
2. Betel nut crusher, betel nut clipper, cowbell, clothes iron, clock, lantern, and betel nut tray cabinet
3. Betel nut tray set cabinet
4. Television, drum, swords, axes, Thai fiddles, Thai pipes, shells, crates, and scales cabinet
5. Fishing tools and rice farming tools shelf
6. Wood bell, wood mortar, feeding tray, knives, saw, silkworm tray shelf
7. Rice farming tools and carpentry tools shelf
8. Silk weaving tools, silkworm cultivating tools, wooden rice tray, rice farming tools, and bamboo rice container

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 (Phahon Yothin). Pass Nakhon Ratchasima to Khon Kaen. From Khon Kaen city center, take Highway number 2 (Mittraphap) to Pon District. Then turn left to Highway number 207, drive for 17 km to Ban Wang Khun. Then turn right for 1 km, the destination is on the left.
