Museum information. Kawila Memorial Museum is located at Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province created by the 33^rd Military Circle  of Chiang Mai and military units in the Chiang Mai area including the northern executive person . This is for commemorate and remembrance of Salvage independence from Burma  of Chao Kawila, the 1^st  ruler of Chiang Mai. Moreover being a place for  gathering the  evident and items related to Chao Kawila, which will be useful for historical studies .The  headstone stone laying ceremony was  on February 5, 1992 by Major General  Pang  Malakun Na Ayudhya, Commanding General, 33^rd Military Circle , chairman of  the ceremony .The construction was completed in February 1993, using a construction budget of 3,200,000 baht.
