Information
The museum was established on May 13, 2009 by Mr. Rassamintr Nititham, with a principle idea to preserve local culture and bring out the identities and original arts, implementing local wisdom to be modern products. For the sake of creative economy, generate incomes, provide sustainable career, and transferred to the communities and society. By using Khun Laharn as a Brand name, which was given by his majesty, since the reign King Rama V, and to honor the founder of the village.
The museum collects artifacts of various type, including local and aristocratic equipment such as everyday used utensils, fishery equipment, weapons such as dagger, traditional dance equipment, such as Mayong play and musical instrument.
Inside of the exhibition is designed and divided into.
Room 1. Background room, exhibits apparatus and pottery since prehistoric period, Langkasuka period
Room 2. Equipment room, Displaying appliances of Malay in the South, such as brass ware.
Room 3. Ritual room, showcasing traditional rituals of Malays in the deep South, such as birds ceremony, Ma Yong and candy molds.
Room 4. River room, exhibits materials for both freshwater and saltwater fishing occupation of Malay in the area.
Room 5. Weapons room, exhibits and presents about science weapons like daggers, swords.
Room 6. Recreation room, exhibits materials for recreation, such as quail cage, the grasshopper

By car from Bangkok, take Highway no. 4 (Petchakasem) via Prachuab Kirikhan, Chumphon, then take Highway 42 heading to Pattani, Narathiwat estimate total distance of 1,149 Km.
By Train, there are both express and rapid train services from Bangkok – Tonyongmas (Narathiwat) - Sungai-kolok.
By bus, begin from Southern transportation station (New) Barom rachonni rd. everyday, many rounds per day.
By airplane, there are flights service from Bangkok- Narathiwat
Transportation within the downtown.
* There are mini-bus serviced from airport to downtown Narathiwat, Sungai-kolok, Taba Checkpoint between 06.00 – 17.00 hrs.
* Public Transportation to places from City hall, available from 06.00-17.00 hrs.
* The van from clock tower intersection, Narathiwat – Sungai-kolok and Narathiwat - Takbai Checkpoint, every 30 minutes from 05.00-17.00 hrs.
