Ruean So-Hong Lanna Folk Museum is located at 10 Kaew Nawarat Road, Wat Ket, Amphoe Muang, Chiang Mai. It is an over 120 year-old high-rise wood house in "Kalae" or "Chiang Saen" style of a wealthy Lanna people. It was established as a museum on March 27 , 1982 in order to preserve this traditional Thai house for the public to study and to collect antiques. Exhibitions include imitation of past Lanna way of living, more than 100 pieces of various Lanna lacquer wares such as betel nut tray, tray with base, cloth chest, seed container, multi-purpose container, and chest, ancient cloth, clothing of various ethnic groups in Lanna, wickerwork, and rare Lanna artifacts.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Highway number 1 (Phaholyothin Road). Then turn left to Highway number 32 (Asia Route). Pass Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ang Thong to Nakhon Sawan. Then take Highway number 117, drive to Phitsanulok. Then go straight Highway number 11 to Lampang, Lamphun until reaching Chiang Mai. From the city center, take route number 4032. Go straight for 700 m, then turn left to Yothathikarn Road. Then go straight route number 1141 to Hang Dong District. Then turn right at The Airport Intersection to Thip Natt / Chiang Mai - Hang Dong Road. Then slight right to Wua Lai. The destination is on the right.
