Information
Mini Siam was founded by Mr. Kasem Kasemkietsakul, who has a keen interest in fine art, sculpture and architecture. His passion multiplied as he travelled for business and leisure in several countries by which had incredibly inspired him. Some of the most impressive places included Madurodum in the Netherlands and Window on China in Taiwan, which feature the model replicas of the world’s most famous landmarks and architecture in 1:25 scale for visitors to enjoy. Mr. Kasem realised that there are a lot of wonderful things that are unique, especially Thai architecture and historical sites.
In reality, there are rare chances that either Thai or international tourists can visit every wonderful place. Hence, if these major sites are brought together in one place, while also preserving details of original works, tourists and students will be able to learn about the value and the beauty of Thai architecture. Once the concept existed, Mr. Kasem had spent 5 years in travelling and studying major sites across Thailand, as well as abroad with the aim to select distinct works in the areas of fine art, sculpture and architecture and transform them into model replicas. In 1986, Mini Siam was launched as an educational tourist attraction on 30 rais of land.
Visiting areas include Mini Siam and Mini Europe. Other facilities are ticket counter, souvenir shop and parking lot.
