Learning space of living, art and culture about Phuket natives or Peranakan, through the modern exhibition that is different from other museums. The museum exhibited in 6 rooms

Exhibition room 1 : Straying

Present the story of Hokkien Chinese migrated from South China to Thailand. Working as labors and step up to the wealthy mine owner influenced an economy.

 Exhibition room 2 Reborn

Knowing the background of peranakan that somebody calls Baba. The Shino-Portuguese or colonial style architecture, mostly found in the old town Phuket.

Exhibition room 3 Chim Jae (sky-light)

A unique feature of Shino-Portuguese architecture is an air-transferring space in the middle of the house. The space also brings the light into the house. The blending architecture is from west and east.

 Exhibition room 4 Clothes

A unique dressing of hybrid Malayan-Chineses blend and create a culture as Peranakan that mean “born here”

 Exhibition room 5 Food

Peranakan food was mixed from several cultures which were Hokkien Chinese, Malayan and Southern Thai.  They used Southern Thai spices mix with contemporary Chinese seasoning. Make it sweet like Chinese foods but the taste is spicy like Thai-Malaya foods.

 Exhibition room 6 Steady

Peranakan accessories state to their status. The accessories will be worn in important days such as the wedding and party. Each piece of accessary matches especially a kind of cloth.
