Information
Museum of Buddhist Art was established by Ajarn Somkiet LohPetcharat, who foresaw the value of the beauty of various kinds of ฺBuddhist art. He then collected a large number of Buddha images. The museum is considered the largest Buddhist image museum in Thailand and is administered by The Foundation for the Promotion and Conservation of Thai Arts. The exhibitions inside the museum are mainly about Buddha images relating to the history of Thai people. The museum is managed with international standards and is divided into 16 rooms, as followed: rooms of Khmer, Burmese, Laotian, Sukhothai, Lanna, Ayutthaya, Rattanakosin, Srivijaya, Lan Chang, Ban Chiang, Lop Buri, Tawaravadee, Lawo, Dongsong, Yao tribe and Christian Art. There are also Kuan-Im Bodhisattva's and Ganesh Halls. Each room displays the history and Buddha images in each period.

Admission fee for adult 300 Baht per person and free admission for children under 150 cm tall.
Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok, take Si Rat Expressway. Drive to Bangkok - Chonburi new line Road and drive along for 129 km. Then take the exit to Ban Nongprue. Turn left to Nong Prue municipality (Ban Na Kluea). Go straight for 750 m, then turn right to Nong Prue Road. Drive for 1.4 km and turn left at Chaloem Phrakiat Intersection. Go straight for 800 m, then turn right to Soi Pornprapanimitr 26. Drive for 1.3 km, then turn left at the intersection. Go straight for 1 km, the destination is on the left. It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
By bus: Bus service of Bangkok - Pattaya (The bus leave from Mo Chit Station every 30 minutes), it takes travel time about 3 hours and 37 minutes.
