Khun Julasak Suriyachai is founder of Oub Kham Museum . He realized that foreigners bought a lot of antique items such as antique cloths, jewelry, silverware and lacquerware at Mea Sai , Cheiang Rai . Khun Julasak therefore started his museum since 1997 for collecting Lanna antiques
"Oubkham" or Goldern Oub (a golden bowl used by members of the royalty
) was received as a legacy from his descendants ,Phraya Sulavoreochai (Nantipchang) Chao Lampang (2275-2301). There are 3 buildings consist of Khum Chao Fa ,Khum Oub Kham and Khum Bua Leon .
1. Khum Chao Fa : Showing thousands of silverware pieces of the Tai Lanna tribe. lacquerware Hundred years old lacquerware which used in the palace .
2. Khum Oub Kham is a main exhibit building with 2 floors. The upper floor displays ancient thousands of years old Buddha images, Chiang Saen art, White jade Buddha statue wearing golden costume . Frist Floor is showing ancient silver jewelry and many of Oub Khams,
3. t Khum Bua Leon displays fabrics in many regions . There is golden silk custum of Lanna Princes . It was made from silk and .It is a beautiful ancient pattern with a total weight of over 2 kilograms.
