Information
In 2002, the Department of Non-Formal Education, Ministry of Education, proposeda project to establish science center for education at Thawatburi district,
Roi Et province.
In 2004, the Cabinet had the resolution to assign the Office of Non-Formal Education to act as the main organization responsible for the integration plan. According to the government strategy, the integration plan would fill society with wisdom in order to develop the country in a long run, improve quality of life of the people, empower the competition of the country, and strengthen capacity in science and technology.
In the first phase, the Committee of Non-Formal Education had already established Science Center for Education in 12 provinces. Then they proposed a project in the second phase to establish Roi Et Science and Cultural for Education with the budget of 750 million in the area of 115 Rai in Thawatburi district, Roi Et province.
Groundbreaking Ceremony was done by Dr. Warakorn Samkoset Deputy Minister of Education in 30 August 2007

Mr. Apichart Jeerawut, Secretary General of the Office of Non-Formal Education, acting as Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education, appointed Mr. Worawut Kotrapun to be director of the center in 13 August 2008.
Currently, four buildings have been already built as follows: the main exhibition building, Auditorium Buildings, Planetarium Building, operating media Building, and Landscape outside the buildings.

Getting There
By car, take highway number 1 from Bangkok to Saraburi. Then take highway number 2 from Saraburi to Nakon Ratchasima and then to Ban Pai. From Ban Pai take highway number 23 through Mahasarakarm to Roi-Et and to Thawatburi. It is all about 527 kilometers from Bangkok to Thawatburi.
By bus, take the bus at the Bangkok bus station route Bangkok- Roi-Et. Get off at Roi-Et bus station, and then take the bus route Roi-Et Saraporm to Thawatburi district.
By train, take the train from Bangkok to Kon-kan, and then transfer to the bus route Kon-Kan-Roi-Et. Get off at Roi-Et bus station, and then take the bus route Roi-Et -Saraporm to Thawatburi district.
By plane Flights Bangkok - Roi Et
- By take the bus route Phonthong– Roi-Et. Then take the bus route from Roi-Et – Saraporm to Thawatburi.
- Take taxi to Thawatchaburi district about 9 kilometers.
