Siam Insect Zoo is an integrated learning tourism attraction, which is fun and exciting for all ages and genders. The museum, with its motto “Discovery Museum and live insects’ farm”, was establish in 2006 by Ajarn Pisuth Ek-Amnuay, who interested and fond of the insects. He had collected insect specimens from places around the world for over 40 years. Inside the museum, there are rare insects, strange insects, and interesting beautiful insects, as a knowledge exhibition of entomology for children and general public to visit. The objectives of this museum, is to be a place to enhance education, research and development, and broadly publish the entomology knowledge in Thailand.

In 2011, Siam Insect Zoo was selected by National Discovery Museum Institute to be the Discovery Museum Knowledge Model Project for the North of Thailand.

Siam Insect Zoo divided into 2 interesting zones, which are;

1. Discovery Museum Zone – Collection of many insects sample from both Thailand and aboard, in bilingual exhibition.

2. Live Insect Breeding Zone – located behind the museum, is the breeding farm for various species of insects. An opportunity for everyone to learn a life experience of tiny insect closely, i.e. butterfly garden, beautiful beetles, giant spider, scorpions, stick grasshoppers, walking leaf, mantis insects, and variety of seasonal moth and insects.
