Information
Thai Stamp Museum, Samsen-nai is located on the second floor of postal building behind the Samsen-nai Post Office. The museum collection includes history of Thailand postal service, primitive stamp since the first stamp originated in England, the adaptation to use of Thailand, also the first time usage of Thai stamp during the King Rama IV period.
The museum, inside, exhibits postage stamp since King Rama V in, 1883 until present, which more than 800 collections, and 200 more spectacular different collections from all over the world that join the Symbol of Universal Union.
Moreover, there are original paints which use for the developing of stamp collections displaying along the room wall, such as Children day collection, flower collection, special occasions of King Bhumiphol and the dynasty.
Apart from stamp exhibition, there is a stamp library in both Thai and foreign languages in front of the museum. There is also temporary exhibitions rotated by occasions, and displaying special collection stamp on each event.
