As the first zoo of southern Thailand, Songkhla Zoo has continued to gain popularity among general public. The 878 rais of land was specifically arranged for the breeding and collection of Thai wild animals for the study of nature conservation. As an attraction and recreational park for local residents, Songkhla Zoo is situated amidst a shady atmosphere of surrounding mountains and Songkhla Lake, which is near to Samila Cape and Tinsulanonda Bridge can be spotted clearly from the zoo.

Getting There
From Bangkok, use Highway 4, passing Prachuap Khiri Khan and Chumphon. Enter into Highway 41. Pass Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phatthalung. Use Highway 4 until Hatyai. Continue into Mueang District for 30 more kilometres.
