Established with respect to honour the royal grace of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Suvarnabhumi Airport Museum reflects the kindness of King Rama IX towards “Suvarnabhumi International Airport”, which was named by the late monarch to literally convey the meaning of “The Golden Land”. Stretching across the 900-square metre exhibition spaces, the museum portrays the background and interesting aspects of Suvarnabhumi International Airport as Thailand’s main airport. In addition, the museum features the history of domestic air transportation and information on the construction of Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Contents of exhibition are divided into 9 rooms, including

Exhibition Room 5 features 9 wonders of Suvarnabhumi International Airport, highlighting the utilisation of advanced technology in the operation and construction. For example, the improvement of soil quality, the construction of pylons, the construction of passenger halls using super truss, etc.

Getting There
Airport Rail Link runs from 6am to 12pm, between Phaya Thai Station and Suvarnabhumi Station. The train stops at 6 stations en route, including Ratchaprarop, Makkasan, Ramkhamhaeng, Hua Mak, Tap Chang and Lat Krabang Stations. Journey time is 30 minutes. Total distance is 28 km.
Air-conditioned buses run from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to various destinations in Bangkok and its vicinity. There are 3 bus routes, which are 554 Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Rangsit (Ramindra Road); 555 Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Rangsit (via Rama 9 Express Way) and 558 Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Central Rama 2.
Additionally, there is a public van service, which runs from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to various destinations in Bangkok. The service is available at Public Transportation Centre. Alternatively, the van also drops off and picks up passengers at Gate 1 and Gate 8 on the 1st floor of Arrival Hall.
