Information
The Tak provincial administration established Tak Town museum to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of His Majesty the king’ Accession to the throne. By renovating the former tak governor’s house to be the museum, as it was the residence for HM the King and Queen while they visit Tak province in 1958.
The museum collects and exhibits antiques, artifacts and many of historical assets that spread around, to be gathered in one place. The exhibition topics involve history, archeology and architectural preserve, divided into 2 floors;
The upper floor is the exhibition room, setup to be photo gallery of His Majesty the King’s royal duties and artifacts displaying such as Porcelain and Buddha image.
The lower floor exhibits valuable assets of Tak province.

Getting There
- By car: take Highway no. 1 through Singhburi-Chainat-Nakhonsawan - Kamphaeng Phet – Tak, with a distance of 426 kilometre, around 5 and a half hours.
- By bus: both ordinary and air-conditioned bus leave the northern Transport station (Mho-chit) every day from 08.00-22.30 hrs.
