Information
Surindra Rajabhat University gives priority to the textile culture of 3 ethnic groups in Surin province, including the Khmer, the Kui, and the Lao, which living together and inherit cultural unique identity of people group. The university also support on study and research involves textile.
The exhibition inside displays process of local textile process, which involves with lifestyle of ethnic groups and local ancient textile. The museum also displays local made textile, ancient and modern – the fabric that used to wrap up holy scriptures, the Hole Proh, the Um-prom, the Inlooseem, the anchor, the sage, the ra-berg, the kra-new (or hang ka-rok), etc.

Getting There
By car from Bangkok, take Highway no.1 (Phaholyothin) via Saraburi - Nakhon Ratchasima – Buriram –to Surin province. Estimate distance of 434 km.
By bus, there are air-conditioned Bangkok-Surin buses leave from Northern Transport station (Mho-Chit 2) everydays, many rounds per day. Estimate duration of 6 hrs.
By train, the train leave Bangkok Railway station (Hua Lamphong) and Thonburi Railway station to Surin, with ordinary, rapid, express, and VIP express. Estimate duration of 6 - 8 hrs.
