Information
Local Museum of Thavorn Hotel is located in Ratsada Rd. in Phuket downtown. The ground floor of the hotel including lobby and dining room are decorated with and showcasing old appliances and old photographs of the Thavornwongwongse family and is opened to the public, and to the hotel guest in particular. The exhibition consists of personal items such as Hokkien bride and groom wedding headdresses, traditional Chinese beaded slippers of upper class women, and crockery; equipment from the Thavornwongwongse family past business and mining equipment such as multiple large iron safes, ore concentrates placed on the mining dredge’s bow, and slags from tin smelting; and movie theater equipment such as movie posters and old movie projectors. There is also a photo exhibition of Phuket Town.

With private car: From Bangkok, take the highway number 35 through Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, into Phang Nga. From city center, across Sarasin bridge, into the highway number 402, drive along for 53 km, and turn right onto Ratta Road. The destination is on the left.
