Information
Wat Kongkaram Locality Museum was founded in order to give the Ku Bua younger generation a clear understanding of their past with historical collections of the Ku Bua community. The museum is 24 meters long and 18 meters wide. The two-storey building is divided into various exhibition rooms. The first room displays the local wisdom during the Dvaravati period through the excavated ancient artifacts such as clay figures, pictures, naga illustrations, etc., some of which are also kept at Wat Khlong Suwan Khiri. The next room displays the Thai wisdom during the ancient era of Yonok Chiang Saen when the Lanna people migrated from Chiang Saen to Ku Bua around 200 years ago. It also houses wax figures of the monks revered by the villagers. The last room showcases the culture of Thai rice and farmers and all processes from harvesting, threshing, milling to processing paddy to rice.
