Information
The Ancient Phaniat Museum at Wat Thong Thua exhibits antiquities found in Phaniat. Several artifacts predate thousands of years indicating a long history of Phaniat since the ancient Khmer era. The highlight relic is the lintel in an ancient Khmer motif of Thala Barivat. The piece is considered the oldest of its kind.

Getting There
With private car: From Bangkok - Chanthaburi, drive along Tha Luang Road (Chanthaburi town). Then cross Chanthaburi River Bridge until reaching Ko Rong Intersection (Sukhumvit Road) at the end of Tha Luang Road. Then turn right to Trad. Go straight for 1 km, then turn right at kilometre number 338 to the entrance of Wat Thong Tua (Soi 6 Thetsaban Road). Go straight for 500 m and turn left at Thong Tua School Intersection. Drive for 400 m, the destination is on the left.
By bus: Buses of Bangkok - Chanthaburi available 10 times. It takes about 5 and a half hours.
