Information
Wat Ubosatharam temple was former named “Wat Bot Manorom”. Evidences founded that the temple was established in 1781. However, due to the dilapidation of the temple. Reverend Phra Soontornmuni (Chan), former primate of Uthai Thani Bhuddist province, had the temple repaired and restored. The locals call this temple "Wat Bot” which has many important archaeological artifacts such as murals in the Cathedral temple, stucco wall on European style octagonal shape Mondop. Previously exhibited at eight necessities of a Buddhist monk and former abbot was given by King Rama V. However, due to the lack of temple staff to maintain its security, therefore, they have not brought to be on displayed anymore.
From the art style of the murals inside the cathedral and temple which assumed to be drawn in the reign of King Rama IV era, by the pattern of Thai traditional style posted powder mixed with glue on the wall. Ground with chalk and lime, showing the story of Lord Buddha, the marriage of Śuddhodana with Queen Maha Maya, until the division of the Buddha relics.
Octagonal Mondop is a two-story brick building with smooth plaster walls. Painted roof tiles, facing to the river. The ground floor consists of 3 doors, and one front door, 7 windows on the second floor. Later, there were construction of the front porch of a lodge room with vaulted brick staircase on the upstairs. The solid masonry bellows the south porch were also added as a standing room. Upstairs has 2 windows featuring stucco Buddha holding an alms bowl (Wednesday Buddha image) in the middle, with the blue swan and heron motifs.

By car from Bangkok, there are many ways to reach Uthai Thani, such as
- From Phaholyothin Rd. via Saraburi – Lopburi – Nakhon Sawan - Chainat, cross the Chao Phraya river bridge and aboard the car ferry at Manorom district, Wat Tha sung (Wat Chantaram) temple to Uthai Thani province. Estimate distance of 305 km.
- From Highway no. 32 via Ayutthaya – Ang Thong –Sing buri - Chainat, cross the Chao Phraya river bridge to the front road of hospital;, turn left into Uthai Thani market. Estimate distance of 222 km.
By bus, there are air-conditioned Bangkok- Uthai Thani buses leave from Northern Transport station (Mho-Chit 2) everydays, Estimate duration of 4 hrs.
