Information
The Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center was established according to the Royal Initiative that King Bhumibol Adulyadej had given on 11 December 1982, with the Royal Intention to serve as the source of learning and testing that suits the northern area, as well as to educate local people with necessary capabilities. The centre studies three types of forest to achieve four benefits, including using, collecting fruit, gathering fuel, which helps to conserve soil and water, as well as retaining moist as the fourth benefit, alongside abundant upstream land. The origin involves the study of forest and upstream lands, whereas the end-point is the study of reservoir fisheries in various locations. There are also the studies of agriculture, livestock and dairy cattle and Agro-industry with respect to serve as a comprehensive centre that benefits Thai visitors, so that they can adapt with their life and succeed. Operations of the centre well reflect the Royal Initiative of “Let the Development Study Center function as a “Living Museum of Mother Nature”. In other words, the centre is “The summary of development” that Thai people can learn from and put into practice.
